We decided against a holiday this year but then a last minute bargain was advertised and so we thought 'why not!' 2 weeks in a nice bungalow a short walk from the water - we much prefered self catering for most of our holidays as it gave us all the freedom we loved. If we wanted to sleep in til 10am or not have dinner til 10pm it was ok if we had self catering - we loved it. It was this trip that got us hooked on Lladro (spanish porcelain) and over the years we collected far too many pieces. Halfway through the holiday some thiving so and so stole our bag from the beach while we were within feet of them - so we ended up spending the afternoon at the police station where we couldn't speak much spanish and they pretended not to speak english so we had to get our travel rep to intervene. Had a fab time and came back really tanned and completely relaxed , all ready to start work the day after we got back. We had planned to go to marjorca but never made it there - just goes to show you shouldn;t make plans for too far into the future. Don't leave til tomorrow , what you can do today.
