18 months after John's brain haemorrhages, we were walking around Poole and John very very slightly slurred his words - nothing too noticeable but I knew something wasn't right so I drove him to A&E where they confirmed after a scan that he had had a TIA (a mini stroke). The symptoms never last more than 24 hours and in this case after 30 minutes , John was ok. I asked WHY this had happened and the consultant said sometimes these things happen for no reason. A little bit more of John's brain had been lost but again nothing we couldn't handle. Again he was signed off at the hospital so we carried on as usual, adapting our lives accordingly. In August of this year (2013) I had to take John back to a different hospital having been referred by our doc and they said the bleeds were much more serious than we had been told - and that there was no new medication he could take so again we altered our lives accordingly. John was always such a happy man , he loved our life together and I feel blessed that even though at times he was having a tough time , I made him happy as he kept telling me. Little did I know that within 2 months he would be taken so suddenly and unexpectedly from me with a heart attack which had always been so very strong, whilst we were on holiday in Florida. You fought well my sweet but it was all too much for you. Love you and miss you my love. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
