All 4 of us decided we would like to spend the holidays somewhere warm and sunny so we settled for Lanzarote. Lovely hotel and beautiful sunny skies for the whole 2 weeks. We walked along the beachfront promenade every day , stopping off at a little cafe for a coffee or a beer even on Christmas Day. It was so relaxing. Whilst we do not usually participate in organised entertainment we felt we all had to go along to the wine tasting - they had a table with various cheeses and breads to 'cleanse the pallet' but as it was around 2pm John used to make himself a couple of cheese sandwiches - how common but how funny it was to see people take a couple of cubes of cheese and then see John get cracking with the sandwiches! As soon as that finished we had to skip down to the pool as they had a daily quiz which was pretty entertaining! The first day we sat on loungers (John sat at the end of mine for some reason instead of getting his own)When it came to swapping answers, I got up and the next thing, everyone is laughing as John went flying as he had just been balancing! He didn't hurt himself as he was that close to the ground to start with! It doesn't sound THAT funny but that was the cabaret around the pool for the day. Every day after that we sat on the balcony as we all felt it was safer (and we could have a little pre snooze drink) What on earth am I going to do this Christmas without my lovely John? I just don't want to even think about it. I miss you John , so very very much xxxx
