It was our first Christmas together and John . being a very keen and very good skier, decided I should have a try so we went to Andorra for 10 days over Christmas and the New Year. I had only been discharged from hospital 2 days before we were to leave so even up to the last minute we weren't sure if we could go. I was very apprehensive although John reassured me I would be ok, but I wasn't so sure as it seemed daunting . Went into a ski class but I just couldn't seem to get on with it due to language problems so John then decided to teach me. He had the patience of a saint of the language of a trooper at times when my legs wouldn't do as he tolds me to. But at the end of our trip I had managed to ski down the slopes ON the skis and not on my backside which was a great result.
