This time 27 years ago we were just moving into our first home together , all ready for our new life together. We had nothing but each other which was all we needed. Not even a kettle to our name! What a truly amazing adventure we had to look forward to even though it didn't last as long as we had both hoped. Moving into our little rented flat was like moving into a mansion house as long as we were together. The first thing you went out and bought was a sheepskin rug - you proudly presented it to me and was so pleased you had made the first real contribution. That rug had a special place in our hearts and when we had to dispose of it after a radiator leaked and stained it, it was a sad moment - our first possession in our new life. We built up a lovely happy home eventually but I found out last October when I lost you , that what is the use of a lovely home without the one thing you treasure the most. As I have said before , I would trade every penny we have to have just one more day , month , year with you my lovely John. Sleep tight wherever you are , til we meet again All my love now and forever xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx PS West Ham beat Hull 2-1 last night - that would have made you smile , wouldn't it. They are now 11th. xxxx
