We booked another last minute trip to Eilat in Israel to get a bit of warm weather - just a week which was enough. As there wasn't enough to keep us occupied we decided to take a 2 day trip into Cairo through the Sinai Desert.Had to buy jumpers as we were warned that it is cold in the desert and they were right. Part of the trip gave us an hour in a Cairo market - not very amused at all with that as locals were VERY intimidating walking round with knives and looking very unfriendly. After that we went into the museum and John thought it was amazing as he likes things like that. I thought it was interesting but couldn't remember all the names of the Egyptians and the stories that went with them. After that we went to the pyramids and the sphynx and that was jaw dropping - how on earth did they build the pyramids that long ago ? Went on a boat trip when we got back to Eilat - that was great! John could snorkle to his hearts content whilst I watched him Glad we went but not a place we decided to go back to. xxxxxx
