Having spent the majority of our honeymoons together , it was planned that we would spend our respective 10th anniversaries with Kay and Tony - so it was decided that New York would be the place to go for a few days. We are all such kindred spirits , it was obvious we would have a great time. Visited all the main places thet you HAVE to go to and went on a helicopter trip over the Statue of Liberty. Our hotel was just round the corner to the huge Macys store and that resulted in one or two return visits - even John enjoyed shopping there specially as he managed to get himself quite a few bargains! The highlight was having a celebration meal at the Windows on the World restaurant at the top of the World Trade Centre , less than 4 months before 9/11. A few years later we had to divert to New York and spent the day there where we revisted Ground Zero - how very very sad to be standing there where the twin towers had so proudly been. Another lovely trip away with my very special man and our good friends Kay and Tony xxx
