We met Sue and John on the second day of our honeymoon in Thailand, they were doing exactly the same trip, staying in exactly the same hotels and all the exact flighs. We hit it off straight away, and have remained firm friends ever since, John and Tony even share the same birthday. We basically laughed for the whole three weeks mainly due to John's amazing sense of humour and mischief making! He was your architypal cheeky chappie. We also spent our tenth wedding anniversary with them in New York, just a few months before 9/11. Although we didn't see much of each other, we always stayed in touch and when we did get together our relationship carried on where we had left off from the times before. We visited Sue and John after his first stroke and were lucky enough to do so again a few weeks before he died, spending a lovely afternoon in a pub in Poole When Sue gave us the sad news that John had passed away, we both cried and hugged each other remembering such happy times with him and Sue and remembering a lovely, lovely, kind, patient, funny, stubborn, generous friend. John, we will miss you, thank you for being our friend and being part of our life and our memories. Love from Kay and Tony
